Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Thomas More, born in 1478. He was a humanist philosopher who wrote Utopia and is sometimes regarded as the patron saint of politicians and statesmen. Speaking of politics, it's a Very Bad Year to be a registered Republican. Who am I gonna vote for in Maryland's primary election next week? Mike Huckabee is seriously mentally ill and vehemently opposed to anything sane and rational and decent and respectable. Mitt Romney is a know-it-all ignoramus who thinks he can create more jobs by giving big business unbridled monopolistic control over everything. Rudy Giuliani has a miserable track record as governor of the most gruesomely mismanaged state of our nation. Ron Paul is an idiot who has no trouble spewing enough hot air to fly his blimp with. John McCain thinks we're perfectly on-track continuing our war of naked aggression in Iraq. At least on some issues, though, he has suggested the possibility that he might not be quite delusional enough for the mainstream of the GOP. Oh well, I guess I'll just hafta hope the Democrats win the general election, although I don't like any of them much better, except maybe Dennis Kucinich who's sorta out of the running, it seems. But anyhow, today is gonna be another great day. Might as well enjoy it before it chills down and snows on the weekend. Happy Thursday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
