Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Jost Burgi, born in 1552. He was a Swiss clock maker and scientific instrument maker. Yesterday was another Wednesday Evening In Lent, a church dinner followed by a presentation from somebody from some other religion, this time it was Quakers. Yes, folks, there's an active Quaker group here in the county, and they're a major participant in SMILE, one of our local charities. In fact the Quakers regard charity as more important than doctrinary hogwash, truly a heretical concept! The Quaker meeting house is along H.G. Trueman Road right where they're tearing everything up to put in the new South County Connector Highway, so they're having lotsa fun trying to get in and out every Sunday, but they seem to be coping somehow. Other than that, nothing much is happening except that Global Warming has been temporarily been put on hold for today. It's cold! Happy Thursday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
