Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of John Casimir, born in 1543. He was Count Palatine of Pfalz-Simmern. Gosh, gee, what an important historical figure! I can't imagine what the world of today would be like without him! Early tomorrow morning I zoom off for Nebraska. I'll most likely arrive mid to late afternoon Sunday. Yes, folks, 800 miles the first day sounds like a lot, but it's not that unreasonable. No stops for meals. Just crunch on apples and whole wheat bagels and mixed nuts in the car. The mixed nuts will put me in the mood to deal with traffic. My father's funeral is gonna be Wednesday. I hope that's enough time to get all the relatives duly notified. I may or may not be back here for Palm Sunday. If not, just feel free to celebrate Jesus's joy-ride on a stolen donkey without me. Happy Friday! OrneryPest |

you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
