Today we celebrate the birthday of Balthasar Bekker, born in 1634. He was a theologian who caused other theologians to become emotionally disturbed because he was capable of rational thought. Gordon the Garden is started for this year. Global Warming has advanced the beginning of planting season by about a week and a half. Turnips and chard and radishes are in. Spinach and beets and kohlrabi go in next. And today is Maundy Thursday (whatever a Maund is) and so lotsa churchy stuff is happening. It's the most cognitively dissonant week of the year as we celebrate the fantasy adventures of Our Mythical Hero. Happy Thursday! OrneryPest |
