Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Elihu Yale, born in 1649. He funded the initial establishment of Yale University. Yesterday was the first Total Mowing of the Whole Lawn for the year. It rained, but enough sunshine happened between the raindrops to get the job done. Yes, folks, there's actually a few snickets of grass beginning to poke up amongst the catnip and prairie garlic. Today the Washington Area Secular Humanist society is gonna do a presentation by Margaret Downey who's gonna talk about freedom of religion, freedom of conscience, freedom of thought, freedom of whatever. I've heard her speak before. She's good! That'll use up the day. What's more, it's gonna rain all day, and then clear up tomorrow. Unfortunately, we've gotta blow off tomorrow morning indulging our egotistical delusions that we can boss God around by reciting mystic incantations at our own belly buttons. Happy Saturday! Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
