Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Marcus Aurelius, born in 121 AD. He was Roman Emperor from 161 to 180. Sylvia the Silver Streak got her 168,000 mile oil change yesterday. Nelson the Nissan gets his 68,000 mile oil change today. Fortunately, the new oil change pan I bought is big enough to haul both batches of used oil to the recyclery at once. Gordon the Garden is doing great. The first plots planted need massive weeding already. The first poppy bud is showing. It'll be blooming soon. Traditional date of poppy blooming is May 15 but Global Warming is promising to advance the date a bit. I'm trying to think of some theological opinion for the day, but I'm just not smart enough to think of anything as idiotic as what theologians have already dreamed up. I mean, there's this business about reciting mystic incantations at your own belly button to boss around an impossibly convoluted three-headed mini-pantheon that some poor unsuspecting virgin found herself mixed up with a coupla thousand years ago. Can you top that? Happy Saturday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
