Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss, born in 1777. He made contributions in lotsa areas of mathematics. The official spectral definition of True White Light is called the Gaussian Distribution in his honor. Yesterday the soil dried out enough by afternoon so I got a plot of okra into Gordon the Garden. Today I'll plant something, such as perhaps cucumbers or acorn squash. This afternoon our church's volunteer lawn mowing group is gonna mow the cemetery and lawns around Middleham Chapel and the parish hall again. I'll bring a tow rope for when somebody gets a riding mower stuck between gravestones. The youth group got their Mystic Meditation Maze finished, so we'll see if they set the stones into the ground at the right height so mower blades don't hit them. The Mystic Meditation Maze is supposed to have magic powers. I've been telling the youth group that if they can prove it, James Randi's million bucks is waiting for them. Happy Wednesday! Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
