Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Monnica, the mother of Saint Augustine. The calendar indicates white altar covers for the occasion, and our choir sings at St Peters Chapel. Yeaterday's presentation was great. Who are we fighting in Iraq? We don't know. Why are we fighting in Iraq? We don't know. Iraq is a land of primitive stone-age desert nomads with rapidly shifting tribal loyalties. Your friend one day may be your enemy the next day. Only they know who you're supposed to shoot at and who you're supposed to welcome into your tent. Forming a stable government in Iraq can only be done the Iraquian way. Trying to do any such thing with American troops present on the scene is like trying to arrange a china shop with mad bulls stampeding through the aisles. But anyhow, today is Sunday, the day rational thought is rendered impossible by the perceived need to pretend we believe in some impossibly convoluted three-headed mini-pantheon that some poor unsuspecting virgin found herself mixed up with a coupla thousand years ago. Happy Sunday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
