Oh by the way, folks, oldest entries are deleted to keep the total entry count at 666 because that number is sure to rile up somebody who sorely needs it. My more serious diary: |
Today we commemorate the first general session of the Second Council of Lyon in 1274. They spent endless hours fussing over theological stuff of monumental (??) importance. Such as whether the Holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son or only the Father and not the Son. But they never proposed any observation to actually watch the Holy Spirit proceeding. And whether the Substances of the Father and the Son are the same, alike, similar, or different. But they never proposed actually analyzing these Substances. And how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. But they never called in a troupe of dancing angels for an audition. But anyhow, yesterday was great and today will be even better, so promises the Wondrous Weather Website. Right and proper for Wednesday, the longest day of the week, the only day that's nine letters long. Not only that, but in the evening one of the neighbor ladies was out walking her dog and stopped to yak a bit. It turns out that she's an avid gardener, and it's possible that her family and mine might be doing more yakking about gardening. Happy Wednesday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
