Today we celebrate the birthday of Haile Selassie, born in 1892. He was emperor of Ethiopia, and had the misfortune of being regarded as God by a certain loony-screw religion. Something's happening with my south-side neighbors. I haven't seen them in months, but strange vehicles of various sorts park in the driveway and some people get out and run around doing inscrutable things and leave. Surveyors and inspectors, perhaps? Oh well, I guess I'll find out soon enough. And today we (the Holy Clippers) are gonna mow our cemetery and lawns around Middleham Chapel and the parish hall, except that the Wondrous Weather Website is predicting pouring down rain all day.
