Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Irenaeus of Lyons. He was one of the early promoters of the idea that Christians oughta break up into lotsa different denominations and go around accusing each other of being heretics. And so here we are today about eighteen and a half centuries later, still accusing each other of being heretics, even though we all believe that the entire universe is being secretly masterminded by some sorta invisible three-headed spook off in the sky somewhere but still lurking everywhere all at once patiently awaiting the beckon call of True Believers reciting mystic incantations at their own belly buttons. But we're absolutely certain that the Three Headed Spook only responds to the mystic incantations of Episcopalians and ignores all others, even though I've personally seen no evidence whatsoever for such trivial discrimination. The Three Headed Spook, if he exists at all, appears to be ignoring all of us equally, as far as I've been able to tell. Well anyhow, the Wondrous Weather Website is promising great weather for the stroll down to church and back, and then I'll get in a bit of gardening and maybe a bike ride before Robert the Rain God signs onto his duty shift at 7:00 PM this evening. Happy Sunday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
