Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Wilhelm Winkler, born in 1884. He was a mathematician. With all these mathematicians the world has ever known, averaging about five or six birthdays a day, you'd think they'd have the entire universe calculated by now. But there's still more to do. Yesterday's sermon was preached by our Deacon In Training. 6 minutes and 54 seconds. Excellent. She'll make an excellent preacher if her seminary training doesn't mess up her mind. Today I've gotta go a-questing. Lowe's, Wal Mart, Foot Locker Shoes, maybe a coupla other places. Some places such as grocery stores welcome the customers to bring in their own bags instead of using the store's plastic bags. I've never seen that done at Wal Mart. It looks like Wal Mart is so intensely geared to mass movement of customers through the cash register line that the slightest deviation from the established procedure, such as customers bringing their own bags, would disrupt their whole scheme. Maybe I'll try it someday. They'll probably throw me out of the place. Happy Questing! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
