Today we celebrate the birthday of Mary Navarro, born in 1859. She's somebody I've never heard of.

Well, folks, the Charles Towne Center mall in Waldorf is getting to be a total bust. Some of the stores are closed. Most of the rest of them look like they might as well be closed. After exhausting the severely limited offerings of several shoe stores, I stopped into Finish Line and bought the only pair of Size Eleven shoes in the whole store. Most likely the only pair of Size Eleven shoes in the whole mall.

Now, folks, I realize that in today's economy all shopping centers are suffering, but Charles Towne Center is on its deathbed.

In the future I think my shopping quests will probably be to Annapolis Mall. It's only about fifteen or twenty minutes farther up the road. The entire great city of Waldorf appears to have had the green weenie.

Oh by the way, folks, Staples has got their 2010 pocket calendar books in already. They're even carrying my favorite model, so I hurried up and bought mine. Now if I can only keep track of where I mislaid it until it comes time to start using it.
