Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Eusebius of Vercelli. We're scheduled to use green altar covers. On the cat-watch scene, Mercury is still alive. He's got no control of his hind legs so all he can do is sprawl around. His tail is so limp you could probably tie it into a granny knot. I suppose his spinal erector muscles are all atrophied. We probably won't take him to the vet because they'll probably suggest euthanasia, and I think we oughta let him live as long as he's not in clearly obvious pain and agony. Meanwhile, the other cat, Bruce, who is the same age, is beginning to weaken. He now crawls instead of scampers up and down the stairs, but at least he can still make it up and down. He's probably got another year or so to live. And since today is Sunday, we'll spend the obligatory hour pretending to believe in our totally implausible mythology, and then Robert the Rain God is scheduled for duty all afternoon. Happy Sunday! Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
