Today we wish a fond Happy Birthday to Richard Gere, born in 1949. He's the favorite actor of the Crossword Puzzle Authors Guild, or so it appears.

Yesterday nothing happened, thus allowing the church service to go as planned. Bit by bit, we're restoring the church grounds back to normal from our grandiose 325-year anniversary celebration. We haven't been able to summon a team of angels to do the work for us, though.

Today is nice and cool for a change. I've got a nice big brush pile, including the fallen plum tree I hacked out a few days ago, to chop up for the composter. A bit of rain is scheduled to intrude along about mid-day, but other than that it's gonna go great. I just know it.
