Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Cardinal Richelieu, born in 1585. He was one of the powerful people in Merrye Olde Francee, and his abuse of power was one of the prime incentives for our founding fathers to write separation of church and state into our constitution. Nothing happened yesterday. The village medicine man didn't find anything wrong with me. What a waste! And now that President Obama's speech to the children has been published, we'll all go around believing that education is a communist plot and that if we were all stupid we'd all be rich. The Wondrous Weather Website is predicting rain today. Good! I'll take some! Wednesday is the longest day of the week, the only day that's nine letters long, so we'll need a bit of refreshing rain to make it through. Happy Longest Day Of The Week! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
