Today we wish a fond Happy Birthday to Arnold Palmer, born in 1929. May he golf forever!

I never excelled at golf. I used to consider it quite the great round if I could hit under 90 on the 9-hole par-31 course at Crete Nebraska or under 200 on the 18-hole par-72 Pioneers Park course at Lincoln Nebraska.

Well, I didn't win the creation myth contest, which I didn't really expect to win anyhow. My entry was really lame compared to the winners.
