Today we celebrate the birthday of Francisco Maurolico, born in 1494. He was a priest, then a Benedictine monk, and also a mathematician. His most important contribution was to restore some of our knowledge of utterly blasphemous ancient Greek mathematics, which he accomplished somehow or t'nother without the Pope getting riled up.

I discovered I've got a Google Reader as an adjunct to my Blogspot diary and it's already pre-loaded with all Blogspot diaries I've got listed. I think Wordpress and Typepad diaries will also work on it. I'll hafta check it out.

That'll free up that list of green links over on the right. I've arbitrarily limited that list to 32 links, just to keep it from growing exponentially. Getting all Typepad and Wordpress links off of it will open it up for more stuff.

Other than that, nothing happened yesterday. Today it's gonna rain. This evening the Calvert Marine Museum is hosting a presentation about the history of our church, and MrsPest is one of the presenters, so it sounds like it's gonna be great.
