Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we wish a fond Happy Birthday to John Rutter, born in 1945. He's a composer of choir songs for Soprano, Alto, and Tenor, leaving the Bass section standing there looking like we might as well be a row of eggs in the carton. On the rare occasion that one of his songs even has a Bass part at all, it goes up so high that we've gotta tap a coupla Tenors to sing it, so we still look like eggs in the back row. We had a nice church dinner last night. I mentioned to the preacher that the Rapture has happened so there aren't any True Christians on earth any more, and he replied that he could name a few True Christians that he wishes they'd get raptured so they'd leave the rest of us alone. That's what I like about our preacher. Catch him off guard and he reveals that he's really lots more intelligent than we allow him to be in the pulpit. And so today is gonna be a great morning and a rainy afternoon. Some outdoor stuff, some indoor stuff. Life is good! Happy Thursday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
