Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Nevil Maskelyne, born in 1732. He was a mathematician. Yesterday's church went just fine. We did a Grandiose Fellowship Breakfast, and then did the church service while still sitting around the breakfast tables. That was kinda fun. Then in the afternoon there was a history presentation about religious toleration in Maryland. It appears that Lord Calvert tried to establish the colony of Maryland with religion and politics keeping out of each other's nickers, but that idea turned out to be a bit too sane and rational for his day. So anyhow, the U.S. Constitution was written to try to keep religion and politics out of each other's nickers, and we're still trying to figure out how to implement such a sane and rational idea. And now, folks, here's another great idea. Divination by banana-reading. Enjoy. Today we're scheduled to have Winters Sheet Metal come and do the annual service on our heat pumps. The downstairs unit was replaced just recently so it oughta be no problem. The upstairs unit might be getting just about ready to Kiss Old Rose. The Wondrous Weather Website is promising a great day to do whatever they've gotta do. Funding has been set aside for whenever the upstairs unit needs replaced. Life is good. Happy Monday! Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
