Today we celebrate the birthday of King Nicholas of Montenegro, born in 1841. Well, duh, might as well be king nobody of nowhere, born whenever. But hey, any excuse for a celebration!

Nothing much happened yesterday. Well, I picked the year's carrots, not a very good crop because carrots don't do all that well in Middle Chesapeake Yellow Clay over a chalk vein.

Today it's gonna be mixed rain and wind. I don't really have much to do today, so maybe I'll go questing round and about Annapolis Mall or something like that. Hey, when the going gets tough the tough go shopping!

And then this evening is gonna be another church dinner. MrsPest has a conflict so I'll hafta go alone, and Jerusalem Artichokes aren't in season, so I'll hafta think of something to bring. Woodburn's Deli makes a great German Red Potato Salad with Dill, maybe I'll pick up a bowl of it if they've got any today.
