Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Franz Liszt, born in 1811. He was a pianist and composer. Last night's church dinner was great, as usual. And then for the Bible study afterwards, we did our usual groping and fumbling around admitting that the Bible isn't actually true but it has a different kind of truth, which reminds me of this cartoon. At least there's a small avant garde within the Episcopal church that's trying to drag us kicking and screaming out of the Stone Age. And then in yesterday's Washington Post there was an item about how the Roman Catholic church is offering Episcopalians a marvelous opportunity to remain comfortably ensconced in the Stone Age. Well, at least we can have our choice. And I'm all in favor of freedom of choice. But anyhow, today's gonna be a great day. Shorts-and-tee-shirts weather this afternoon, so says the Wondrous Weather Website. Happy Thursday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
