Today we celebrate the birthday of Emily Post, born in 1872. She re-defined "etiquette" in terms of treating people decent instead of sipping your tea the hoity-toit way. Unfortunately, I know some folks who still haven't got the message.

I heard a secret rumor from one of the church ladies that my makeshift adapter to fit the wrong kinda candle into the candle holder appears to work. We'll know for sure when the acolyte tries to light it and it falls over.

It's raining. It's been raining all night. It's gonna rain all day. And maybe it'll keep on raining for a while. Not for forty days and forty nights, I hope. I haven't got my ark started yet.

And my Facebook page is up to 22 friends, including five old high school classmates, after only two days. I never realized I was such a popular dude.
