Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Vivien Leigh, born in 1913. She starred in Gone With The Wind, among other worthy roles. And now, folks, it's November. Do you know what that means in most of Southern Maryland? DEER RUTTING SEASON!!! We've got a very high deer population and they get careless when the hormones are flowing. Hit one with your car and you'll find out the hard way that it's just about the most high-density unit of lean body mass found in nature. And in other news, the noble Brazil Nut (it's also got an ignoble racially offensive nickname but let's not go into that) is now alleged to accumulate radium during growth. It's my favorite brand of nut. Do you suppose I'll soon start glowing in the dark? Or maybe get stopped at the airport security station for suspicion of smuggling nuclear weapons? Oh well, it's Thursday, and last night's church dinner was only nine people including both preachers. But several people brought the best dishes you could imagine, so it was well worthwhile for the few of us. Happy Thursday! OrneryPest |

Oh by the way, if you're one of those insufferable snooty folks who think
you've just gotta have a (gasp) banner (shudder) to link to me,
I suppose I'll let you download this one for the purpose, if you really insist.
