Today we amuse ourselves at the observation that the Pope is gonna be using his last few days in office to make sure that the folks that'll select a new pope are all just as stupid as he is. I don't see why it'll matter. The Catholic church is irrelevant anyhow. Yesterday nothing happened. Instead of a church pot luck dinner last night we had a hosted dinner with supposedly authentic Ancient Palestinian food. One of the attendees, who has spent a while in Iraq, noted that the food was quite similar to what modern Iraqis eat, thus attesting to its probable authenticity. This morning MrsPest has some sorta quest up the road a piece, and she just called to say that traffic on Rt 2-by-4 is totally clogged. I suppose it's just another accident. There's lotsa them on that road. I've found that on Rt 2-by-4, the way you can drive 80 in a 55 zone is stay in the slow lane and let everybody pass. Maybe later today we'll find out how many fatalities there were. Other than that, it looks like nothing's gonna happen today. Happy Thursday! OrneryPest |
