Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate one of the possible choices of birthday for the great artist Raphael, born in 1483. He's so famous he needs no further introduction. Sorry about no entry yesterday. I couldn't get into the DiaryLand entry page. Yesterday's birthday woulda been Patty Hill, one of the co-writers of the Happy Birthday song, born in 1868. Anyhow, yesterday's church dinner was eleven people including both preachers. The presento afterwards was a survey of the fragmented nature of Christianity during the first and second centuries AD, exactly what you'd expect of a religion cobbled together from earlier myths from totally outside of Judaism altogether, the opposite of what you'd expect of a religion started by a Jewish dude in Palestine. But we still try to claim that our Jesus legend was based on a historical person in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Oh well, I'll be the last to claim that our weird religion makes any sense. Anyhow, today looks like potentially a great day to turn the outdoor water back on for the summer. Happy Watering!
