Today I'm too lazy to go looking for stuff to celebrate. I'll just celebrate the fact that the universe exists. Or, that is to say, I perceive, rightly or wrongly, that the universe probably exists.

Several months ago our church's Ladies Guild acquired a coupla shelf sets with adjustable shelves. I assembled them, and then tried to pass the word as to how to adjust the shelves to different positions. It requires a rubber mallet and a block of wood.

So anyhow, yesterday they wanted the shelves adjusted different. None of the Ladies Guild members had any recollection as to how to do it. So I took my rubber mallet and a block of wood and adjusted them.

So next time they need the shelves adjusted, will they remember how it's done? Probably not. They'll call me again.

One of these days I'll probably become too senile to do any more of that sorta stuff, and I have no idea what they'll do then.

Today looks like it's gonna be a great day to just sit back and enjoy the existence of the universe.
