Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Anselm of Canterbury. He is most famous for his Ontological Proof Of God, which is a logically invalid mixed-up mess that, about eight centuries later, was found to contain a cleverly embedded prof that there is no such critter as God. Yesterday's Washington Area Secular Humanist presento, about Global Warming, was so great that we kept the speaker busy with questions and comments until the library staff came in and kicked us out to make way for the next group that had the room reserved. And today looks like it's gonna be sunshiny but sorta cold after we get done with our obligatory hour of trying to boss God around with mystic incantations. Happy Sunday! OrneryPest |
