Today we congratulate the Boy Scouts for finally making one small step towards non-bigotry. They've still got a long way to go, but at least they're making a start.

Yesterday it rained more or less off and on pretty much most of the day. We wanted to dine out, so we chose the C.D. Cafe which is only half a block up the street from us. It quit raining long enough for us to get there, and then quit raining long enough for us to walk back home. Bob the Rain God must love us!

And so for today, my Quest Of The Day will be to help a friend do a pre-move downsizing in preparation for his moving next week. He's donating a whole buncha stuff to charity instead of paying a whole bunch to have it moved to his new place where he'll never need the stuff anyhow.

And on FaceBook, I seem to have been receiving large numbers of Friend requests from people whose profile avatars look suspiciously like 9- or 10- year-old girls who are trying to pretend to be sexy by showing bits of skin that a mature woman wouldn't show. Friend requests like that get auto-trashed on the spot. I thought FaceBook had a lower age limit anyhow.
