Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Patrick Henry, born in 1736. He was one of the major players in the American Revolution. And I was just wondering, what evidence do we have as to how many Gods it takes to manage the universe? Can anybody really tender a guess and actually support it? Several hundred Gods, maybe? Or perhaps none at all? In many modern religions the prevailing doctrine is that one God can do it all by himself. But that's an awful lotta work. So in the Christian religion we claim that God suffers from an identity crisis that gives him three alter-egos. So far, so good. But one of the alter-egos is supposed to have once lived as a human on earth, specifically a Jewish dude named Jesus in Merrye Olde Palestine. But all the biographical stuff we've got about him looks suspiciously like it musta been cobbled together from Indo-European mythology. Folks, I think we've got a major credibility gap! Oh well, anyhow today looks like it's gonna get awful hot. Happy Hotness! OrneryPest |
