Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Lawrence of Brindisi. I'm not exactly sure what he's the patron saint of. Hey, this'll never do! We can't have unemployed saints roaming the heavens!

Yesterday nothing happened. It got too hot for anything to happen.

Today it's supposed to start pouring down rain with lotsa lightning and thunder beginning at noon. That might cool the place off a bit if we're lucky.

Unfortunately it'll still be awful hot for the stroll over to the church to join my fellow True Believers as we indulge our egotistical delusion that we can boss God around by reciting mystic incantations at our own belly buttons.
