Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Bill Justis, born in 1926. He was a rock and roll musician. Back when I was a teenager the older generation used to consider rock and roll to be pretty trashy, possibly even satanic. Nowadays it's considered nice and bland, a form of Easy Listening. Today's teenagers appear to prefer music that sounds like folks throwing dead animals at empty barrels. "THUMPA WHUMPA THUMPA WHUMPA!" Anyhow, yesterday church was the usual bore that even Jesus woulda walked out on. Then in the afternoon our annual Patuxent River Appreciation Days parade happened. Somehow or t'nother it sorta almost didn't really rain so nobody got very wet. And today's agenda will be more of the same. Spend a coupla hours on my new super-duper queen-size bed I'm making, maybe a trip or two to False Value Hardware whenever I run out of stuff, maybe deal with a coupla fallen tree branches in the yard, that sorta stuff. Happy Stuff! OrneryPest |
