Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Hoagy Carmichael, born in 1899. He was an All-American song writer with a variety of other musical talents on the side. And while we're at it, let's belatedly honor the life of Frederick Sanger, two-time Nobel Prize winner, who invented the method of decoding DNA codes. He had the misfortune of dying on the same day as Sylvia Browne, and somehow or t'nother the sensationalist news media spewed lots more ink over that silly clown than over a truly great contributor to human progress. Well anyhow, nothing happened yesterday and it looks like nothing's gonna happen today. Happy Nothing Happening! OrneryPest |
