Today we celebrate the birthday of Sir Humphry Davy, born in 1778. He was a chemist, back in the era when alchemy was beginning to yield to real chemistry.

Yesterday's quest achieved success. Nelson the Nissan passed his state inspection. He's good for two more years.

The inspector apparently hadn't inspected a stick-shift car before, so he had to consult his supervisor for a bit of explanation of the arcane mysteries.

But at least he got the OBD connector back into its proper slot when he was finished, a trivial detail that some inspectors in the past have neglected.

And so today it looks like nothing's gonna happen.
