Today we celebrate the birthday of Alessandro Piccinini, born in 1566. He was a music composer.

Yesterday church was a special Lessons And Carols service. Just as boring as the usual.

It was raining pretty heavy when we finished church, so I remarked to the preacher on the way out that the rain was very nice because it'll assure that our prayers will be well hydrated by the time they got to heaven.

He tried to mumble something in return, but I think the boring service had rendered him just as brain-dead as the congregation. His mind was sorta on autopilot.

Anyhow, I think the rain has more or less quit.

I've got an eye-doc apptment today, for an analysis as to how soon the left eye is gonna need cataract surgery to match the one that was done to the right eye about a year and a half ago.

Now that I've had one cataract surgery, I realize it goes pretty well and holds no undue terror.

Happy Monday!
