Today we celebrate the birthday of Jaroslav Vogel, born in 1894. He was an orchestra conductor.

It rained a whole bunch yesterday. I went a-questing for some wood carving tools and didn't find any. There's some other places such as Homely Despot that I haven't checked yet, but the nearest Homely Despot is about 45 miles away.

It looks like it's gonna rain a whole bunch more today.

And then this evening our church is holding its annual Hot Chili Competition. I'm gonna bring my usual recipe, which won't win the prize but I hope it'll be hot enough for most folks.
