Today we make fun of the nation of Uganda, which has just enacted a law making gay people illegal. I was gonna comment about it, but Scott Adams's cartoon robot has stated it more succinctly than I could do.

Yesterday I spent most of the day playing answer-phone-tag with the eye surgery place to get the final arrangements for my cataract surgery next Tuesday. Contact was eventually made. Everything looks like a go.

Elsewhere round and about our fair isle, nothing is happening. No sign of the tron company beginning to put wires underground. No sign of sidewalk installation beginning. The Lighthouse Restaurant has not yet announced their opening day.
