Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Polycarp. He was supposedly martyred in 156 AD, during the term of office of Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius who was known to be somewhat favorable toward Christians, which suggests that his martyrdom never happened. In fact, most of what we know about him is probably hogwash.

But that won't stop us from honoring him with green altar covers.

Yesterday nothing happened. My daily jaunt to the post office didn't even yield any mail. Apparently the junk mailers have decided they don't love me.

And so today after we do our obligatory hour of pretending to hallucinate our make-believe three-headed sky-zombie it looks like nothing more is gonna happen.
