Today we celebrate the birthday of Johann Erasmus Kindermann, born in 1616. He was an organist and music composer.

Yesterday the Wondrous Weather Website promised rain but we never got any. It's making up for it now, pouring down rain sorta heavy.

At the south front corner of my house I've got a juniper bush and a mulberry bush growing from what almost looks like the same root except that I know just enough about botany to suspect that's not actually the case. They're tangled up amongst each other.

The juniper bush has been looking sorta sickly since last fall, and I think it's dead now. So I'm gonna get in there with a small pruning saw and see if I can delectably extract it from in amongst the mulberry bush without damaging the mulberry bush.

But not today, though. I don't feel like sawing down trees in the rain.

Happy Saturday!
