Today we celebrate the birthday of Jack Paar, born in 1918. He was the Grandiose EmCee of some TV show I never watched. When he appears in crossweird puzzles I keep forgetting whether it's spelled Paar or Parr so I hafta leave one letter blank until I get to the crossing word.

Yesterday it rained an awful lot. Today it's gonna rain an awful lot more. Pesticide spraying will, I suppose, hafta be rescheduled again.

So I'll find indoor stuff to do, such as perhaps repairing MrsPest's favorite chair which, I think, musta been custom-designed for her famous ancestor Queen Grizelda the Grandiose of North Cumbersome Shire in 586 BC and has been in her family ever since. Hey, as long as the basic wood is intact I'll keep on putting in more glue and screws!
