Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Florence Nightingale. She never achieved canonical sainthood because she was a provably historical person whose accomplishments were genuinely beneficial to humanity. She was a nurse who introduced several vast improvements to nursing methods.

Sorry about this dose of rational thought on a day we're supposed to spend reciting mystic incantations at our own belly buttons in a valiant attempt to hallucinate about a three-headed sky-zombie, but somehow I just don't feel like getting with the program quite yet this morning.

Well anyhow, nothing happened yesterday, and it looks like nothing's gonna happen today. I suppose I'll make some effort to go drag myself off to indulge in fellowship with my fellow sky-zombie hallucinators.
