Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Johns Hopkins, born in 1795. He was a business entrepreneur whose philanthropical activities included endowments that enabled the establishment of several institutions including Johns Hopkins University. Yesterday church was the usual crashing bore. At least our church holds a nice Coffee Hour after church, when we yakkity-jabber with our fellow sky-zombie hallucinators. Then in the afternoon nothing happened, so I got a buncha twigs chopped up for the composter, with the biggest ones sawed up for the free firewood giveaway pile. I'm afraid lotsa my friends are forgetting about my free firewood giveaway pile. Or maybe there's just lotsa other folks who've also got free firewood giveaway piles. The local landfill has got a section for tree trimmings etc, but they charge money to dump there, so nobody does. So there's lotsa free firewood all over the place for anybody who wants it. And so today I've got an apptment with the Village Medicine Man. As usual, I hope he finds lotsa stuff wrong with me so it won't be a waste. Well, a waste for the American Taxpayer if not for me, since I'm on Medicare. Happy Medicare! OrneryPest |
