Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Bede the Venerable. He was a scholar back in Merrye Olde Englande. Yesterday, with the help of a dose of Aleve to Aleve-iate my sore knee, I mostly finished piling up all the fallen branches from Thursday's hailstorm. Only two major branches left to go. One is a large limb that was dangling from my sycamore tree, and it finished falling just as I was putting my tools away, having pronounced myself finished for the day. That'll be easy to deal with. The other is a pine branch lodged in my way-back yard dogwood tree. I haven't figured out exactly how I'll deal with that, but I'm sure something will work. And then there's a few of my pine branches that blew across the back street into my back neighbors's front yard. Maybe I'll offer to take them and deal with them. It'll barely make a noticeable increase in my huge pile of stuff. Well anyhow, that looks like a job for the afternoon. But first, we've gotta spend our obligatory hour hallucinating about our three-headed sky-zombie. Happy Hallucinations! OrneryPest |
