Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Reinhold Niebuhr, born in 1892.He dedicated his life to spewing meaningless hogwash. I have no idea how he ever earned a living. Yesterday was a very nice day. Nothing happened, thus enabling me to get a buncha stuff done. And now the church ladies want me to fabricate a template to help them cut out some shapes for the mat around some sorta pictures they wanna frame. The mats are mass produced and available at modest prices, but they wanna cut their own anyhow. So I found some plexiglass, some masonite, some shower stall plastic, and some sheet aluminum, and today I'm gonna check out which of these materials I can most easily cut into the shape they want. But if they all end up unsatisfactory, I'll just hafta tell them, hey, go buy the mass-produced stuff. Hey, individually crafted stuff is so medieval. Mass production has been working well since the days of Eli Whitney and Henry Ford. Anyhow, it's raining today, and fiddling around with cutting things to a desired shape is normally done indoors, so everything's gonna work out just fine. Happy Cutting Up Stuff! OrneryPest |
