Today we celebrate the birthday of Booth Tarkington, born in 1869. He wrote lotsa books including Penrod And Sam, one of my childhood favorites.

Yesterday nothing much happened. The tron undergrounders representative brought over the easement form and we signed it, thus making it legal for them to put up the street light.

The tron undergrounders seem to be overly worried about what I think oughta be done about my deteriorating retaining wall which is gonna get ripped out as part of building the sidewalk. As far as I can tell, there's only two considerations, first, that they follow environmental regs about limiting erosion, second, that they follow safety procedures about the thing not collapsing onto their people working in the ditch.

So as far as I'm concerned, they know all the rules and I've got nothing to add.

So the only thing left to worry about is that Cramshaw is no longer gonna be hanging out in my neighborhood after his beloved overhead wires are no longer there.
