Today we celebrate the birthday of George Enescu, born in 1881. He was a multi-talented musician.

Yesterday nothing happened. The tron undergrounders undergrounded trons across the street, but haven't started on our side yet. I sifted a barrel of compost for next year's garden.

One house on our block is a rental place, and for some reason or t'nother the tron undergrounders haven't been able to get ahold of either the landlord or the tenant to get the canonically appointed signatures on the required easements, waivers, releases, and whatnot. So they can't start undergrounding trons on our side of the street yet.

I think the landlord is vacationing in The Azores and the tenant is on long-term travel duty to Fort Hunt Alabama, or some such intractable combination.

And so today it looks like nothing's gonna happen. The Wondrous Weather Website has quit predicting rain for today, which doesn't necessarily mean there won't be any, of course.
