Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Margaret Thatcher, born in 1925. She served a hitch as British prime minister. Yesterday church was the usual bore. Father S, true to his championship form, preached the sermon in under 4 minutes. And then in the afternoon was the Patuxent River Appreciation Days parade. The Patuxent High School Marching Band stayed in step. There were several ROTC groups, none of which stayed very well in step. Fortunately it didn't rain, so all the beauty queens riding in convertibles didn't get their prom gowns wet. And then there were a buncha politicians riding in convertibles but they weren't as cute as the beauty queens. I suppose I should oughta of squirted them with the garden hose, but I didn't. And so today we celebrate a displaced Columbus Day while our neighbors to the north celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Other than that, it looks like nothing's gonna happen except for my canonically appointed chiroquacker knee-jerk session. Or maybe the tron undergrounders will get onto starting to underground trons in front of my place. Happy Columbus Day Or Thanksgiving Day, Whichever Country You're In! OrneryPest |
