Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Jeanne Mance, born in 1606. She was a nurse who established the first hospital in North America. Yesterday nothing happened except that it was Veterans Day which is a holiday for the post office and the banks but nobody else. We pretended to honor our people in uniform while continuing to send them off to pointless wars of naked aggression. The tron undergrounders were at work up the side street a ways. The Dominion Gas construction workers were playing nice rock-'n-roll music with their pile driver. And so today I've got a doctor apptment and he wants to do a series of blood tests so I'm supposed to do without breakfast this morning. I hope he finds lotsa stuff wrong with me. It'd be a waste to go without breakfast all for nothing. Happy Wednesday! OrneryPest |
