Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Robert Fulton, born in 1765. He invented the world's first commercially successful steamboat. Yesterday's chiroquacker knee-jerk accomplished nothing, as usual. They had just rearranged their physical therapy room, and were busy trying to figure out how to make the best use of their new derangement. Like, where the patient oughta stand while doing whatever exercise. So it was kinda fun. And then on the way home I observed that the tron undergrounders were about halfway through doing a horizontal borehole, so I stopped by to watch their progress a few times during the day. Basically, they drill the hole and then take off the drill head and attach a conduit-pulling eye-bolt to the drill shaft and then reverse the boreholer and slurp the conduit into the hole. Well, this time they were slurping two conduits in at once. So it was sorta fun watching the conduits, side-by-side, slowly inching their way into the hole. Sorta like watching a turtle race. Today it's awful cold, and the prediction is for a possible light frost early tomorrow morning, so I suppose I'll shut off our outdoor water today. Happy Friday! OrneryPest |
