My Heroic Ballads

Today we wish a fond Happy Birthday to Tom Cruise, born in 1962. Just a-Cruising along from one strange religion to the next, and from one strange wife to the next. Oh well, some folks are just strange, I guess.

Yesterday nothing much happened. A bit of lawn mowing, a bit of sandpapering stupid lumber company tattoos off of boards, a bit of garden weeding and picking.

Today I suppose nothing's gonna happen either.

You'd think there'd be more excitement in my neighborhood. Half a block down the street from me is a Catholic priest's mansion with a convent behind it, and a Catholic church just across the street from them. For some strange reason they seem to be behaving themselves nicely. I'm afraid they'll never be the source of international scandal I was hoping for.

Oh well, at least it's Fourth Of July Weekend coming up so there'll be lotsa drunk-driving accidents on the main street.
